Dreams are important aren't they? Why? No one has ever told me why. Here's an inspiring song, B What U Wanna B by Darin. Many thanks to the uploader for sharing this song.

Dreams give us hope, hope gives us strength, and we need strength to survive and live in this topsy turvy world of ups and downs. Dreams don't necessarily come true, in fact, they seldom do come true, but this doesn't render dreams pointless. Dreams present to me a safe haven from the rest of the world. Somewhere I cannot be reached, can never be hurt and that will always be there no matter where I physically am. In that sense, dreams tend to help one destress.

Dreams have pretty much a negative relationship with our lives. The younger a person, the bigger the dream and as people get older, our dreams get smaller. That's probably the reason why dreams have difficulty coming true. A child with large dreams seldom have the resources and capability to carry out their dreams whilst the adult possessing such qualities, no longer harbours the compelling drive to make these dreams come true. To the adult, being a "doctor, lawyer or a singer" would be vastly different from the viewpoint of the child. Time has equipped adults with resources and capabilities needed to fulfil their young dreams but comes with a price of understanding one's limitations and in some cases how seemingly unattainable one's goal is, as with the saying that the more one learns, the less one knows.
